The Museum of International Film Festival for Children and the Youth Will be Established.
The first call for establishing the museum and document center of the ICFF has been published.
The 33rd ICFF Public Relations Office reports that the permanent secretariat of the International Film Festival for Children and the Youth has announced that the museum of International Film Festival for Children and the Youth will be established, and artists, children cinema activists, the festival lovers, the participants of the filmmaking Olympiad, journalists, and film critics are all invited to participate in establishing the museum.
According to this piece of news, the first call for establishing the museum states, “This specialized film festival for Iranian children and young adults is the oldest film festival organized for children and young adults in the region. The 33rd edition of the festival is going to be held while the world is under the shadow of coronavirus, and social distancing and stay-at-home orders highlighted the values of old times much more than ever before.”
Celebrating the 33rd ICFF and the 120th anniversary of Iranian Cinema, to collect memories as significant sources to study the history of contemporary cinema, artists, children cinema activists, the festival lovers, the participants of the filmmaking Olympiad, journalists, film critics, and the public are all invited to participate in the first call and send whatever document including tapes and videotapes of the opening and closing ceremonies, etc. to office@icff.ir until September 21, 2020.
The call states that exquisite prizes will be given to the document presenters and the documents will be published under the names of the presenters.
Due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus and based on the multimedia agreement made by the Iranian Cinema Organization, Farabi Cinematic Foundation, and Isfahan Municipality, this edition of the festival will be held virtually from October 18 to 23, 2020 under the supervision of Alireza Tabesh.
The festival will be organized in a competitive format in two different sections; Iranian Cinema Competition and International Cinema Competition.
